Base Stealing Stances
Here is a look at different setups in stances from some random big league guys. I always find it helpful to compare different setups for our guys. You will notice a lot of similarities from these pictures. I really breakdown the detail of why I like the neutral setup you see from most of these players here – RIGHT HERE! But even just taking a look at each picture is helpful.
I run base stealing camps during the fall and tell all of my campers if they look at high school players and college players they will see a big variety of stances and first movements. If you compare big leaguers who steal often they look relatively similar (of course with a few exceptions).
